Buchanan Castle, Scotland

Polesworth Abbey And Church Of St Editha
The 9th Century Abbey which was founded by St Modwena and King Egbert is a "Scheduled Ancient Monument" although very little is visible of the original buildings as they were dismantled by Francis Goodere of St Albans to provide stone for a new manor house. Frances Goodere was granted the Abbey by Henry VIII following the dissolution of the monasteries in 1536. The 12th Century Church of St Editha is what can be seen today and the location is home of a number of Commonwealth war graves.
